Magento Commerce Officially Rebranded as Adobe Commerce
Adobe consolidates branding strategy: Magento Commerce becomes Adobe Commerce.

Magento Becomes Adobe Commerce: A Strategic Rebrand
Adobe has announced a significant branding change. Magento Commerce is now Adobe Commerce. The open-source version retains the Magento name.
What Changes
Adobe uses: Adobe Commerce (cloud-hosted, formerly Magento Commerce) and Magento Open Source (open-source version).
The rebrand aligns with Adobe's broader Digital Experience Cloud, positioning it alongside Analytics, Target and Campaign.
What Doesn't Change
The rebrand is cosmetic. Platform functionality, API compatibility, extensions and upgrade paths remain unchanged.
Why Rebrand
Integration with Adobe ecosystem, clarification of positioning for enterprise, and support for headless and composable architectures.
For Merchants
Adobe is updating documentation and support portals. Agencies like Tom&Co are now Adobe Commerce Partners. This doesn't change expertise—only positioning.
Open Source Remains Magento
Open-source version retains Magento brand, respecting the community that built the reputation.
